Period panties without harmful chemicals and biocides
Comfydence absorbent underwear / period panties contain no harmful chemicals such as antibacterial treatments, silver, or PFAS/PFOAS. Ever since we became the first brand to launch absorbent underwear / period panties on the Swedish market, it has been a given for us to exclude substances that are harmful to nature and unnecessary for the functionality of the panties.
In other parts of the world, where period panties have been known and used for a longer time, the debate about chemicals has been ongoing and somewhat divisive. There are brands that use antibacterial treatments and biocides, and there are those that actively work against the use of environmentally harmful substances. Comfydence belongs to the latter.
Antibacterial treatment is harmful to the environment
An antibacterial treatment means adding biocides such as silver to prevent bacterial growth. Studies show that such treatments can cause allergic reactions and that they do not last over time. Instead, these substances are rinsed out with the wash water, leading to very negative environmental consequences.

Comfydence panties have been tested by independent institutes
We place high demands on our suppliers, including the requirement that the products must not have antibacterial treatments or contain any biocides. To ensure that Comfydence panties have not been treated with biocides, we have had the Swedish test institute RISE analyze the products. The analyses show no traces of antibacterial treatments or the presence of biocides.
No PFAS in Comfydence panties
The materials in Comfydence panties have also been tested for PFAS/PFOAS by the independent test institute NILU. The tests show no presence of PFAS/PFOA exceeding current limit values.
